Dr. James Chao & The Ruth Mulan Chu Chao Foundation

Dr. James S.C. Chao began his career as a cadet on oceangoing vessels after complet-ing his college coursework in China and became one of the youngest sea captains at the age of 29. Subsequently, he achieved the highest score ever recorded on the national Master Mariner Examination. After receiving an MBA from St. John’s University in 1964, Dr. Chao founded Foremost Group, a company with worldwide operations in international shipping and finance where he remains Chairman to this day. In 2004, Dr. Chao was inducted into the International Maritime Hall of Fame at the United Nations. Dr. Chao was recognized with the Medal of Honor from St. John’s University and honor-ary degrees from Niagara University and Nyack College. Other distinctions include: the prestigious Horatio Alger Award at the U.S. Supreme Court; the U.S. Department of Homeland Security “Outstanding American by Choice” award; the first father and daugh-ter (the 24th U. S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao) Ellis Island Medal of Honor among many other awards. Dr. Chao and his late wife, Mrs. Ruth Mulan Chu Chao, through their Shanghai Mulan Education Foundation, have awarded thousands of scholarships to students and been generous benefactors to many institutions. On June 6, 2016, Harvard University dedicat-ed the historic Ruth Mulan Chu Chao Center, the first building named after a woman, the first building named after an Asian-American in Harvard's 380 year history. The Founda-tion has also established a generous scholarship program, Ruth Mulan Chu and James Si-Cheng Chao Family Fellowship Fund, with special emphasis to help outstanding Asian Pacific American students. 

24th U.S. Secretary of Labor (2001-2009) ；U.S. Secretary of Transportation - Designee

The Honorable Elaine L. Chao is the first Asian Pacific American woman to be appointed to the President's cabinet in American history. On November 29, 2016, She was nominat-ed to be the next Secretary of Transportation. Under Secretary Chao's leadership, the Department of Labor made the advancement and inclusion of the Asian Pacific American (APA) community a top priority through its human capital program, compliance assistance efforts and partnership activities including hosting the annual Asian Pacific American Federal Career Advancement Summit and the annual Opportunity Conference. Secretary Chao was President and CEO of United Way of American, Director of the Peace Corps, Chairman of the Federal Maritime Commission. She also worked as Vice President of Syndications at Bank of America and with Citicorp. The recipient of 36 honorary doctorate degrees, Secretary Chao received her M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and an economic degree from Mt. Holyoke College. She also serves on a number of public and non-profit boards including: Institute of Poli-tics at Harvard Kennedy School of Government; Harvard Business School Board of Glob-al Advisors and Board of Dean's Advisors. Secretary Chao is married to the Majority Leader of the United States Senate, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

托马斯恩格尔是美国知名诉讼律师，在开设律所前，曾担任美国纽约南区曼哈顿检察院罪案调查科助理总长，处理过很多媒体瞩目的案件，后来曾在纽约州哈登堡市担任法官，被美国《超级律师》杂志誉为“白领犯罪辩护，民事诉讼和国际诉讼领域的顶尖律师”。他毕业于哈佛大学，并在哥伦比亚大学获得法律博士。
